President Kagame Arrives in Doha Following Death of Qatar’s Father Amir
President Paul Kagame arrived in Doha on Monday July 13 morning to offer his condolences to the ruling family and the people of Qatar following the death of the Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
President Kagame traveled to the Gulf state to show solidarity with the citizens, the royal family, and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during this period of national mourning for his late father.
Upon arrival, the Rwandan Head of State and his accompanying official delegation were formally received by Qatar’s Minister of Transport, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani.
Rwanda's Ambassador to Qatar, Igor Marara Kayinamura, was also present at the airport to welcome the President and his delegation.
