Rwandan Peacekeepers Provide Free Healthcare To Over 500 Juba Residents
Over 500 residents of Gudele in Juba-South Sudan received free treatment for various illnesses on June 12, following a successful two-day medical outreach program organized by Rwandan peacekeepers and the Society for Family Health (SFH).
The humanitarian initiative drew high praise from local health authorities for delivering critical medical interventions directly to vulnerable communities.
At the conclusion of the two-day campaign, the Minister of Health of Central Equatoria State, Joyce Bakwa, commended the Rwandan peacekeepers, highlighting the strong cooperation between the military and police personnel, according to Rwanda’s Ministry of Defence (MoD).
Minister Bakwa praised both the military and police personnel for their collaborative efforts with the Society for Family Health (SFH) in providing invaluable free healthcare services to the residents of Gudele in Juba.
During the intensive exercise, MoD said that the medical teams treated hundreds of patients suffering from a wide range of illnesses and medical conditions.
For many residents, the initiative offered an opportunity to access quality medical attention without financial strain.
The beneficiaries expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for the quality healthcare services provided, MoD said.
