Somalia's President Meets Referee Denied U.S Entry
Somali President Mohamed Farmaajo on Tuesday, June 9 morning received international football referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan at his office in Mogadishu, after the official was denied entry into the United States (U.S) over suspected ties to terror groups.
Artan arrived at Miami International Airport on June 6, where he was detained and interrogated for 11 hours by U.S. immigration authorities.
Officials ultimately stopped him from entering the country due to suspected links to extremist organizations, including the Al-Shabaab-militant group, according to U.S.
