US Approves $8.6B Arms Sale to Middle East Allies, Bypassing Congress
The United States has authorized $8.6 billion in arms sales to Middle East allies, fast-tracking the massive weapons transfer to support regional partners during the ongoing US-Israel war on Iran.
According to media reports, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio pushed the deal through by citing "emergency circumstances" to bypass the standard prior review process by the U.S. Congress.
