Kagame, Wood Foundation Leaders Meet Over Tea Sector Investments and Pediatric Surgery
President Paul Kagame on Wednesday, June 24 afternoon hosted top executives from The Wood Foundation at Urugwiro Village to review their ongoing partnership, focusing on boosting investments in Rwanda's tea sector and expanding safe healthcare for children.
The high-level talks involved Garreth Wood, Chairman of The Wood Foundation, and David Knoop, CEO of The Wood Foundation Africa.
Their discussions centered on the “Foundation’s longstanding partnership with Rwanda, including its investments in the tea sector.”
Beyond agriculture, Urugwiro Village said that the leaders discussed “the work of Kids Operating Room, the global health charity co-founded by Garreth and Nicola Wood to expand access to safe pediatric surgery.”
The charity works directly to improve medical infrastructure by expanding local access to safe, essential pediatric surgery for children.
