Russian Drone and Missile Strikes Leave Two Dead Across Ukraine
At least two people have been killed and 11 others injured following Russian strikes on Ukraine’s north-eastern Sumy region.
According to the Ukrainian National Police, the attacks, which occurred on June 19, utilized a combination of heavy weaponry, drones, and missiles.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported that another nine people, including four children, were wounded after Russian forces targeted Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkiv, using heavy aerial bombs.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed the strike and casualty figures in a statement posted to his official Telegram channel.
The latest wave of bombardment comes a day after Ukraine launched drone strikes targeting Moscow, which forced the temporary suspension of flights at major airports across the Russian capital.
