Rwanda, France Sign Pacts on Migration and Diplomatic Dependents' Jobs
Rwanda and France have officially signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on June 3. Targeting mutual cooperation on migration governance and the employment of diplomatic dependents, The bilateral agreements establish a new operational framework between Kigali and Paris. They are designed to streamline immigration matters while opening up domestic job markets for the families of official envoys serving in each other’s territories.
The signing panel featured Rwandan Ambassador François Nkulikiyimfura, alongside French representatives Mr. Laurent Touvet, the Director of Foreigners in France at the Ministry of Interior, and Ambassador Aurélie Royet-Gounin of the French Embassy in Rwanda.
Following the signing ceremony, the officials jointly underscored the strategic weight of the accords, highlighting that these new agreements deepen the overall bilateral framework between the two nations.
