The three-day meeting commenced on May 20, and is scheduled to run through May 22.
Held annually, the Commission serves as a fitting platform to review the status of the bilateral defence cooperation between Rwanda and the Russian Federation, and to identify new areas for partnership, reads RDF statement.
The high-level session is being co-chaired by Brig Gen Patrick Karuretwa, Director General of International Military Cooperation in the Ministry of Defence, alongside Mr Anatoly Punchuk, Deputy Director of the Russian Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation.
On the margins of the session, the visiting Russian delegation paid courtesy calls on Rwanda's Minister of Defence, Hon. Juvénal Marizamunda, and the RDF Chief of Defence Staff, Gen MK Mubarakh, to exchange views on bilateral partnership priorities.
