President Donald Trump has declared on Thursday April 9 that all U.S. military assets will remain stationed “in, and around, Iran” to ensure compliance with a newly reached agreement, warning of unprecedented military action if the terms are violated.

The statement follows the announcement of a conditional two-week ceasefire mediated by Pakistan.

Despite the pause in active hostilities, the President, through Truth Social account emphasized that the American military presence—including ships, aircraft, and personnel—will maintain its position with additional weaponry for the “lethal prosecution” of Iranian forces if necessary.

“All U.S. ships, aircraft, and military personnel, with additional ammunition, weaponry, and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal prosecution and destruction of an already substantially degraded enemy, will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the real agreement reached is fully complied with,” Trump stated.

The President indicated that while he views a breach of the agreement as “highly unlikely,” the United States is prepared to escalate the conflict beyond previous levels if the truce fails.

“If for any reason it is not, which is highly unlikely, then the 'shooting’ starts,' bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before,” he warned.

According to the President, the core pillars of the agreement include a total prohibition on nuclear weapons and the guaranteed safety of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy corridor that has seen significant disruption during the five-week conflict.

“It was agreed, a long time ago, and despite all of the fake rhetoric to the contrary - no nuclear weapons and, the Strait of Hormuz will be open & safe,” the President wrote.

The U.S. military, which recently conducted strikes on Iranian petrochemical and defense sites, is currently in a state of readiness.

Trump described the forces as “loading up and resting”- tactical readiness during a temporary pause in active combat while awaiting the outcome of diplomatic talks scheduled to begin Friday in Islamabad.

“In the meantime, our great military is loading up and resting, looking forward, actually, to its next Conquest. America is back!” he concluded.
