The three countries, which have mediated the Gaza ceasefire, issued a joint statement condemning the continued Israeli strikes.

They specifically criticised attacks on health facilities and infrastructure, as well as the civilian casualties, including women and children.

The mediators said the actions constituted “a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law."

They called on Israel to fully comply with its obligations under the ceasefire agreement.

The three countries said the attacks were undermining efforts to implement the second phase of the agreement, “particularly following Hamas’ acceptance of the roadmap” and its agreement to confine its weapons.

They said the continued violations threatened efforts to reduce tensions and had worsened the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

The mediators urged the international community to pressure Israel to fulfil its obligations and called for the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid and medical supplies into the enclave.

Gaza health authorities said at least 1,230 Palestinians had been killed since the ceasefire agreement reached in October.
